Mission Statement
The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center enhances Michigan’s economic well-being by providing counseling, training research, and advocacy for new ventures, existing small business and innovative technology companies. With offices statewide, the MI-SBTDC positively impacts the economy by strengthening existing jobs, and assisting companies in defining their path to success.

 

The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Centers is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration. In statewide headquarters for Michigan is Grand Valley State University. Regionally Eastern Michigan University provides services for Wayne, Oakland and Monroe Counties. In turn Eastern Michigan University partners directly with the Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation to provide one-on-one counseling, training and research for Monroe County’s new or existing small businesses.

    The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Centers offer no cost or low cost new and existing business assistance through direct one-on-one counseling in areas of:
